The Egyptian Government and ministries have developed two development plans for the country:
EgyptVision2030 is a long—term strategic plan of the state to achieve the principles and goals of sustainable development in all areas of the country, including agriculture.
SADS2030 is a strategy for sustainable development of agriculture until 2030.

The final stage of preparation of the agreement on the creation of a free trade zone between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Egypt is also underway, which should improve conditions for Russian exporters.

The estimated volume of the potential for the supply of agricultural products from Russia to Egypt is estimated at more than $ 3.3 billion. The main commodity items with the greatest export potential are: wheat, corn, sunflower and soybean oil, frozen fish, as well as dried legumes. In addition, the following types of goods have the potential to increase supplies from Russia to Egypt: vegetable oil cake and meal, frozen cattle meat, poultry meat, crustaceans, chocolate confectionery."

Since June 17, 2022, Egypt has lifted all restrictions on entry into the country related to COVID-19. Provision of PCR tests or vaccination certificates is not required.
